Bytes has been awarded "Highly Commended" at the UK IT Industry Awards. Sponsored by The Chartered Institute for IT in association with Computing Magazine, the awards distinguish individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have made the most significant contributions in the use, development and deployment of IT.Group Managing Director Neil Murphy said: "To be acknowledged in this way by two important IT industry institutions is great! Industry awards recognise the brilliant effort and contribution of our staff and vendors in delivering exemplary service to our customers - I'm delighted for everyone in the Bytes team."Head of Marketing, Warren Ransome accepted the award at the glittering black tie ceremony in London's Battersea Park Events Arena, which was attended by over 1,300 guests and hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr.Others receiving awards on the night included HM Revenue and Customs for IT Department of the Year, the University of Derby for Network/Infrastructure Project of the Year, LV for IT Employer of the Year, Network Rail for Innovative Mobile App of the Year, and Richard Warner (LV) for CIO of the year.
