As Infosecurity Expo Week 2024 draws to a close, the Bytes team reflect on what this Expo week as showcased to the world of Cyber Security.

Listed below are our Key Takeaways a reflective thoughts on all the action we experienced over the past few days.

Brand Presence | it was noted that there were fewer large stands on show – this allowed for visitors to flow through the venue easier, and allowed for more seating space.

New Face Space | there were more start-up and fresh faces on show this year, showcasing the new wave of Industry leading technologies

CISO Focus | the focus on CISO was high, with separate keynote session and lounges for engaged networking between peers.

SecOps and DevSecOps Evolution | there was focus on such topics. This is perhaps due to the increased regulatory and compliance needs, as well as the increasing education around securing developers, and the greater financial importance of organisations’ application development.

Let's Talk AI, LLMs, “Smart”, Copilot | lots of AI-driven conversations throughout the expo, highlighting it’s evolving presence in the industry.

Spotlight on non-technical subjects | the expo displayed a real drive and interest around the messaging of ESG/sustainability and the Women in Cyber Security movement – which was well received by all.

Cyber Landscape Trends | showcase on supply chain, external risk and minimising the impact of attacks/breaches that occur outside of your own environment we’re key talk tracks throughout the expo.

We hope all that attends the Infosec expo, and possibly the Bytes Infosec Lounge, enjoyed their time – and look forward to 2025.
